We had so much fun when Gene came to visit!

It was also great to have Sondra and Laura fly in when Gene left and spend some time with us. We all had a blast but it took me a good week to recover...and then I got sick:(

That nasty bug going around has taken over our whole family but it does seem like there just might be a light at the end of the tunnel.

I am trying to get Caleb down for a nap right now but that doesn't seem to be working out.

Today will be a day of trying to get things done...laundry, cleaning etc.
I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner. We have so much to do! I can't wait to get home and get crackin'!!!

I am heading up to Sudbury next weekend for about a month...until after Halloween anyway...

Caleb is going to be a lion for Halloween. I will post a pic of his costume. He absolutely loves it!

Our family update

Okay, so I have never done this blogging thing before but I thought, hey I should give this a try! It would be a great way to keep in touch and a little more personal than facebook. (I am way too addicted to facebook)
Let's see where do I start...
Just to update any of you that do not know...Gene and I have been married for over 4.5 years now and have a wonderful son, Caleb who is almost 18 months. He is the sweetest boy!
We live in Mesa, AZ.
We went up to Canada in December to see my family for the holidays since my mom wasn't doing too good. We had a great visit but when we tried to get back to AZ, I got stopped at the border and was denied entry because I didn't have my Visa...to make a long story short, it s now September 29th and I have been here in Canada since:(
Gene is in Arizona and Caleb and I are here in Ontario...we go back and forth between Hamilton and Sudbury. It has been the craziest year of our lives. My poor husband has missed out on so much with Caleb but thankfully he's been able to come and visit.
My mom passed away in May, so it was good to be able to have some time with her. Our family has been through so many changes these past 10 months, it's crazy!
I can hardly wait to get back home to Arizona and have our family back together!
We are just waiting for my appointment with the Consulate in Montreal. We missed the October appointments so we are really hoping to get in for November.
Well that is our life in a nutshell...hopefully we'll have better updates and news in the near future...
